For serious writers, ensuring the quality of articles you make each day is crucial. This is particularly true if you publish your written content online since any grammatical mistakes can impact your reputation significantly. Although you have already reread and checked your work, an automated proofreader will come in handy when you want to get things done quickly. Thus, you need a reliable tool other than your computer's auto spell-check to help you detect any misspelled words or grammar issues in your articles.

Free Check For Plagiarism

Best Features of Grammarly

As a blogger and web content writer, I make it a point to double-check my work before I hit the "submit" button. The idea of publishing a less-than-perfect article can be as frustrating as reading blogs with grammar mistakes in nearly every sentence. Not only does it interfere with your readers' ability to comprehend the text, but it gives an impression of your unprofessionalism. Fortunately, you can find several online tools to help you proofread and identify any mistakes such as Grammarly.

Although Grammarly does not offer very accurate results unlike what manual editing offers, it is as good as it gets when you want to speed up the proofreading process. Aside from pointing out spelling mistakes, it also detects other grammar issues such as capitalization, use of prepositions, subject-verb agreement, and proper use of modifiers. It also scans for poor sentence structure and offers suggestions to improve your text.

If you need a more suitable word to use in your articles, but you could not think of one, Grammarly could recommend appropriate synonyms that would enhance the idea in your text. This is a great help for those who need to write an effective research paper or sales page for personal or business use. Most importantly, this tool can check for plagiarism, which other grammar check services do not offer.
Bottom Line

Grammarly may not be a perfect automated proofreader since it still has some flaws, it can be a useful aid when you want to check your written work in a matter of minutes. This tool also offers in-depth explanations to refresh your understanding of basic grammar rules. With that in mind, you can count on Grammarly to help you write original, well-written and top-quality content all the time.

Must-Have Studio Monitor Headphones

When you are in need of headphones that will not disappoint you in the middle of a project or any other mixing works, studio monitor headphones like a Sony MDR-V6 will work perfectly for you.

I have tried other common cheap headphones, but I always had something to complain about them. I could sometimes feel the confusion on the audience as I mostly do professional mixing as a part-time career on several occasions.

I was recommended to buy studio monitor headphones by a friend. These headphones are of different makes and I chose Sony. The Sony MDR-V6 is quite a purchase as it has a near perfect sound clarity, extended cable that allows me join in the fun while mixing and the soft ear enclose which sometimes makes me feel not wearing any headphones. I also use them on my iPod when hanging around, and I love them because I can go for a day long listening with a lot of comforts.

You can get the pocket friendly incredible audial pieces in most of the online selling sites which have even more classic varieties such as the wireless headphones. They are also in different colors, and they don’t disappoint as mine have not done it yet and its 4 months since I bought them.

Best Sennheiser Headphones

The wide range of best Sennheiser headphones has something for everyone - audiophiles, sound professionals, and casual music lovers alike. However Sennheiser HD 380 PRO and Sennheiser HD 650 are the best of Sennheiser headphones the following reasons

Sennheiser HD 380 PRO

The price and quality of these headphones probably make them too high-end for the average user; they are more suited for studio techs and other sound professionals. They have a great design that is both stylish and comfortable, with their very large ear cups that can easily accommodate even the largest ears. They offer very vivid sound, which is useful when it comes to sound editing and other studio work. Any DJ worth his salt should definitely consider the Sennheiser HD 380 PRO headphones.

Sennheiser HD 650

These high-end headphones are one of the best options for the discriminating audiophile. They can send excellent output through amazingly comfortable ear cushions. They also feature a very stylish design, with a titanium-silver finish and a heavily padded headband.

There is a downside though. The Sennheiser HD 650s may are not very portable, and pairing them with a puny little device like the case of an ipod would be like putting large truck wheels on scooter, it just would not work. Still, they are great for those people who want to spend hours at home listening to quality music and audio.

A Billion Entrepreneurs: Planting the Seed of Entrepreneurship Into Multiple Generations

For many years, entrepreneurship has represented the effort to transform innovations into economic goods, allowing individuals to start, manage and grow their own businesses. Unfortunately, even though the entrepreneurial sector suffered drastic changes that made it the leading income source for many people, society is not appreciating the potential of entrepreneurship at its real value.

Veteran filmmaker Jimmy Newson shares similar views about entrepreneurship. "I want people to understand how invigorating it is to be an entrepreneur," says Jimmy. "I want to plant the seed of entrepreneurship into multiple generations and re-define the word 'entrepreneurship' to mean 'taking responsibility for outcomes in all areas of life.'"

Jimmy has met entrepreneurs over the years who have inspired him to produce a full-length film called "A Billion Entrepreneurs", which aims to inspire others to find their true purpose in life that will eventually lead them to happier and fulfilling lives. The movie is an inspiring, feature-length documentary film where we follow real-life entrepreneurs, as they leave a trail of impact, inspiration, mentorship, and responsibility in their business and personal lives which has an effect on countless people.

Planting the seed of entrepreneurship into multiple generations can help our world evolve dramatically over the next hundreds of years. Understanding the importance of entrepreneurship is crucial for this to happen, particularly because most people consider it a way to risk money without receiving any financial reward. If entrepreneurship were not about money, so many people would be now using it as a way to improve themselves and showcase their abilities.

Humans are creative beings with an immense capacity to imagine and bring their ideas to life, but, unfortunately, financial resource is an important part of this process. Jimmy has raised enough money to generate over 120 hours of film, but now has turned to Indiegogo, a San Francisco-based crowd-funding company, for additional funds to complete post-production, secure distribution, undertake marketing and promotion, and submit to film festivals.

If the funds for ventures such as this is insufficient, people can still successfully raise money through crowd funding, which can help in extending the entrepreneurial spectrum. This would not be the first time an entrepreneur hopes to obtain the necessary funds for a worthy cause or movement, and I hope Jimmy gathers enough funding to support this project until the last phase.

Going back to entrepreneurship, I think the problem is that people are not presented with enough opportunities to learn about it because they are pre-occupied with other things, jobs specifically, in order to make a living and feed their families. But if we could only stop for a moment, we would realize that we can improve ourselves immensely by understanding our life's purpose.

Entrepreneurship may have many meanings, but simply put, it is the art that involves restless and fresh innovation that might change people’s lives forever. If everyone takes the basics and principles of entrepreneurship and transposes them into their everyday life, the society will prosper, allowing us to become successful in a particular field.

Those interested in contributing to the production of A Billion Entrepreneurs can visit Newson's Indiegogo campaign site, www.ABEtheMovie.com, which includes an official trailer. Depending on donation levels, supporters can receive personalized copies of the DVD as well as invitations to screenings in Los Angeles, New York, Dallas and Houston.

"If you can't make a monetary contribution, please don't feel left out," Jimmy says. "You can share the Indiegogo campaign with your friends and through email, word-of-mouth, Facebook and Twitter."

5 Myths Students Should Ignore when Investigating University Housing

Students are always very excited when graduating from high school. A whole new world will open up once they start their continuing education. They will spend a lot of time researching Clemson university housing possibilities to ensure that they can live comfortably during their study time.

There is a lot of information about student lodging available, especially on the Internet. Unfortunately, not all of it is true. If you want to prevent disappointment, and do not want to be taken advantage of, learn all about untrue lodging tales that are doing the rounds. Here are 5 recurring myths.

1. Students Sharing an Apartment Use the Same Bathroom

A management team member from a reputable housing complex shows apartment floor plans to inquiring students and their parents. Every detail is discussed before signing a lease. During this meeting, it will be quite clear that privacy is important. Each apartment resident will have a designated sleeping area and private bathroom.

2. Parking Is Expensive

In general, students do not pay for parking at their housing complex. It is their home away from home. You would not pay to keep your car on your driveway either, right?

3. There Is a Fee for Internet Access and Cable TV

Student housing providers have long realized that the Internet is indispensable for the residents. They need it for research, and to stay in touch with family and friends back home. They should also have some type of distraction on weekends. Television shows and movies are perfect.

4. Utilities Are Extra

There are few students who are financially independent. Housing providers are well aware of this. That is why utilities like water, electricity, sewer, and garbage collection are usually included in the rent.

5. You Are Stuck with a Roommate for the Entire Year

Life can be great if you enjoy the company of your roommates. That does not always happen despite a thorough selection process when joining a Clemson university housing project. Even if everyone sharing an apartment gets along well at first, conditions can change. Your grades should not suffer just because one of the residents suddenly becomes a burden. Pay a transfer fee, and you can move into another apartment as soon as one becomes available.

Careers That Fit Around Family Life

With child care costs rising and the average wage certainly not increasing at the same pace, having more than one child makes returning to work full time impractical for most of us.

Unless you were lucky enough to have a particularly well paid job that you loved doing before having kids, the reality of returning to work and missing out on time with your small children is often not worth the sacrifice financially.

Finding a job that you enjoy and which fits around your kids’ hours is the ideal compromise and easier than you might think. Consider our pointers for inspiration:

Working on a freelance basis

If you have a marketing specialism, such as PR, web design, social media or copywriting and still have contacts in your industry becoming a consultant or working on a freelance basis can fit well around your family life.

Employers are increasingly looking to outsource their work and as well as being able to choose your hours you will experience great tax benefits and avoid commuting costs.

Working in a school

One way to ensure that your hours fit around your children (if they are school-age) is to work in a school! Obviously becoming a teacher will require at least a year of teacher training, but there are plenty of other roles that are based in a school or university.

How about a playground supervisor or lunch time supervisor/dinner lady? You could also work in the administration side of the business if this is where you have previous experience, or become a school secretary or a classroom assistant. These roles can be pretty competitive but are worth going for, especially if you have worked in similar roles in the past.

Fostering

There is a false misconception that fostering is badly paid and can’t be considered a career, but this is actually not the case. There are plenty of chances to undergo training and develop further skills as a foster carer, and depending on the age and individual needs the child you foster has it can actually be very well paid.

You need a spare room in your family home before you can consider applying to become a foster carer, but as long as you have this, coupled with a caring, resilient and energetic attitude, fostering can certainly be one of the most rewarding changes you make in your life. You may also find that it has a positive impact on your children, opening their awareness up to the hardships some children have to face and encouraging a more compassionate and understanding attitude in them.

Creating your own company

Starting your own business can be time consuming and expensive, but  there are ways you could do it on a small scale; for instance, renovating furniture and selling on Ebay or creating an Etsy account to sell paintings, crafts etc you have created in your spare time.

If you are a master baker you could begin a cupcake order company, you could do pet portraits if you are artistic, or if you are good at sewing how about a curtain making business? Starting small like this can be pretty informal and avoid any big costs up front, as well as meaning you can work from home and fit your time around your family.

How to Keep Your Smart Phone Safe

The smart phone industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the country. Everyone can find a use for a smart phone, no matter what their age or occupation. Unfortunately, this has also led to a rise in cell phone theft, since thieves can take advantage of all the personal information stored on a smart phone.

There has also been a rise in broken cell phones, since people take their phones everywhere and aren’t always careful about what happens to them. However, cellphonecases.com cases can protect your phone from many of these situations and help keep your phone and your data safe.

Common Smart Phone Problems

Most smart phone problems occur because of physical damage to the phone. Phones are thin and delicate by design, and even dropping them a short distance can cause serious damage. Protecting the body of your phone with a case or cover is the best way to prevent it from being accidentally broken. You’ll also need to protect the screen of your phone.

Even “old-fashioned” phones need their screens to work so you can read texts or phone numbers. With touch screens, it becomes even more important to keep your screen in good working order. Luckily, many screen covers are available that can help you avoid smudges and scratches,  and help keep your display bright.

If Your Phone Is Stolen

Cellphonecases.com cases are a good way to customize your phone, making it harder for a thief to carry away and easier for you to identify. However, cell phone theft is a very real problem, and it might happen to you anywhere. It’s important that you act quickly once you discover your phone has been stolen. First, call your provider and suspend your service so the thief can’t make calls from your phone. You should also report the theft to the police so they can be on the lookout.

Some people have an app that lets them turn off their phone or delete the information on it remotely. If you don’t think you’re going to get your phone back, you should use this app so the thief can’t access your personal information. Finally, just to be safe, change any pins or passwords that were stored on your phone such as your bank accounts, email passwords, and even Facebook login information.

Listen to Security Service Advice to Keep Buildings Safe

Building managers and business owners in Colorado have the responsibility to keep properties safe. It is a priority because crime rates are steadily increasing. Proprietors and executives should not only worry about buildings, but also the people working and living there. Their belongings, business supplies, product inventory, and equipment need to be protected just as much. How can this be completed efficiently? Listen to good advice from experts providing security service in Denver. Here are some of the tips they give concerned customers.

Learn the Basics

The 2 main ways to protect a building are through implementing technology and hiring professional security guards. Combine both methods if you want to sleep better at night. Innovative technology used today includes surveillance cameras, controllable gates with access codes, motion sensors, extra lighting, and high-tech alarm systems. Think about the premises and the people that need to be kept safe. Ask yourself questions, like the following:
  • When do tenants need the most protection?
  • Do I have employees working late at night?
  • Which parking lot areas are dark?
  • Should I remove high shrubbery and bushes?
  • How many guards do I need?
  • Should I worry about burglaries, mugging, rape, or vandalism?
  • How can people access the premises and building?
  • Do access points need extra security or are they already protected?
Make sure that all your issues are addressed when selecting an effective security solution.

Change the Locks

Are you worried that a disgruntled worker or tenant may break in? Do not hesitate to change the locks. Ask a licensed locksmith or security company which locks are hard to tamper with. If you are already exchanging existing systems, why not pay a little extra for the very best. It will give you peace of mind. You should also limit who gets access to the building or important areas on the premises.

Hire Experienced Guards
Not all professionals advertising security service in Denver are worth considering. Collect referrals. Investigate at least 3 companies. You can explore their website and talk to one of their representatives. Inquire if they are BBB (Better Business Bureau) members. Make sure that all security personnel had a thorough criminal background check, received proper training, and were fingerprinted. They should be qualified to handle every situation.

Deciding for What's Best for your Business

When it comes to purchasing equipment for your business which do you prefer, new or used machine?

The manufacturing industry is booming. There is a strong demand for new products and manufacturers need to keep up by increasing their production. In the United States alone,  there has been a tremendous increase in the total of new machines and tools ordered by the end of 2013. A concrete proof that more people are venturing into the production business.

Business owners have the option to buy new equipments or look for cheaper alternatives like used ones. I see a lot of advertisements in the internet offering used equipments, like a bending machine for sale or a fabricating machine. You only need to be smart in deciding which option is best for your business.

What Type of WAH Worker Are You?

The advancement in technology makes it possible for anyone to do their jobs at home. You can perform tasks just by having a few tools - a telephone and a computer with an internet connection. This is primarily the reason why the number of individuals who work from home is growing fast and huge because of a variety of reasons.

There are Moms who choose to leave the traditional workspace to take care of their children and the household. There are professionals who simply prefer to go freelance and quit the corporate world. While there are other people who fell back to working at home not by choice but by being laid off. Who else perform works and jobs from home?

The Self-Employed. These people are the entrepreneurial type - they own and manage their business from home. I see a lot of this group of people on Facebook. They are mostly Moms who own stores and shops, either with a physical location or purely operating online. Some have physical products for sale while others only engage in offering services online and offline. The crafty folks at Etsy belongs to this group.

The Telecommuting Employee. I belong to this group, people who are employed in a company based elsewhere, locally or abroad. These are the paid workers. Employment status can be full-time, part-time or project-based. I began telecommuting in 2006 working as a Community Manager / Customer Support Specialist for Zorpia.com, an international social networking site based in Hong Kong. That was my first telecommuting stint where I gained traction. I left my job there in 2009 to work as a Customer Support Manager for a software development company based in the United States.

The Side Hustler. This group of people may be working full time or only part time like the Telecommuting Employee. What makes them different from the other group is that their income stream is variable, as compared to the fixed income an employee receives from his/her employer. Their earnings depend on the hours and the effort they exerted for their work or job. Freelancers who get clients from Upwork and Freelancer belong to this group. Bloggers who receive earnings from their blogs fall under this category, too!

I am a fusion of the Telecommuting Employee and the Side Hustler. Do you work from home as well? Are you a self-employed, a telecommuter or a side-hustler? I would love to hear your comments!

Has the Art of Photography Been Eliminated?

Chances are, it’s been years since you took a roll of film to be developed, only to be horribly disappointed by most of the finished photographs you got back. With digital photography as the norm, bad shots are simply deleted, and you’ll never have to pay for prints of photos you don’t like.

But saving money on bad prints is only the smallest and least of the advantages of digital photography, as high-quality cameras and excellent digital manipulation software become more and more affordable for the average person.

So is the art of photography dead, given that just about anyone can take a fairly decent picture, run it through some filters or other manipulations, and make it look like it came from the office of a professional? Absolutely not! The same skills that were necessary for film photographers to take a professional image are still necessary for the amateur digital photographer.

Fortunately, online classrooms eliminate much of the cost and time associated with attending a physical photography classroom. Sites such as my-photo-school.com are still helping would-be photography artists fully understand their equipment, develop their eye, and sharpen their skills with tutorials and critiques by professional photographers.

There’s So Much More than Point and Shoot

You can often get lucky with a quick point-and-shoot photo, but to take professional-quality photographs requires some additional skills. Turning a person, landscape, statue, building, or flower into a masterpiece means that you are deliberately manipulating various aspects of your camera as they interplay with exterior sources of light and shadow—the lenses, shutter speed, focus, and distance to the subject being only four considerations.

Developing an eye means that you become adept at quickly deciding how best to portray the subject, from a bride in her veil with lowered, demure eyes to curls of snow whipping off a craggy mountain peak, or from a fragile blossom dripping with early morning dew to the laughing face of a child at play. Once you know how you want to portray your subject, you also need the knowledge of how to use your equipment to accomplish it.

Different Types of Photography Focus on Different Skills

Being a travel photographer who can take images that make the viewer sigh with longing to travel to distant locales is different than capturing the world from a child’s viewpoint. General instruction helps you do a little of all types of photography, and if you are an amateur who just wants to bump up your skill set for personal pleasure, you certainly have that option with online instruction.

Go further to really develop a passion for specific types of photography. Macro lenses bring the miniature world to life, or you may be fascinated with peoples’ faces as they go about their daily lives or respond to strong emotional stimulus. Learning to perfect those skills means you need to learn from the experts. No, the art of photography has definitely not been eliminated simply because nearly anyone can afford a quality digital camera or pull out a smartphone.

What’s more, there is a great deal of pleasure to be had in perfecting professional photography techniques and applying them to even casual family photos or vacation shots. If you are interested in becoming an artist, learn from the trained artists at online tutorial sites such as my-photo-school.com to increase your talent and learn to look at the world with the eye of an artist who works with a camera.

Earn Money Without Losing Quality Time with your Family

A proper work-life balance is essential for all career women. As opposed to common misconception, even mothers who work from home don’t find it so easy to divide their time between taking care of their families and running a business or working freelance.

Moms who are torn between looking after the children and forging their own careers now have the option to work at home. The Internet has made it possible for them to attend to the needs of their family, while being able to also contribute to the family income and apply their skills and talents.

Through online job marketplaces, it is now possible for anyone, including moms, to work remotely and make a living without having to report for work on a daily basis. The same goes for entrepreneurial mothers, who can now easily set up online businesses or find other ways to earn online.

Benefits of Being a Work-At-Home Mom

The most obvious benefit of being a work-at-home mom (WAHM) is being able to work on a flexible schedule, which allows them to tend to their kids anytime they need help, such as when the kids get sick or need assistance with their homework. There are many successful WAHMs who have discovered that they could actually earn the same paycheck as when they work a full-time job, without actually having to work through a full eight-hour workday.

Another possible advantage for WAHMs is that they can manage their own business without having to leave home. Nowadays, we see a lot of mothers selling products through Facebook or online channels a variety of products such as cupcakes, clothes, perfumes, and other items. Setting up an online store is easier than ever. Setting up an online payment system has also become a simple process.

And with a variety of online payment and credit card options available in the Philippines, customers can now pay for the products online using their credit cards and debit cards. They don’t need to go to the bank to deposit payment for purchases.

Mothers who work at home also have the advantage of incurring minimal expenses. They save on public transportation or gas. They don’t need spend a lot of money on expensive restaurants or fast food takeout—unlike when they work in an actual office. WAHMs also save on grooming and clothing costs because they don’t need to buy make-up, perfume, accessories, and clothes as often.

Apart from the expenses, moms who work at home can also enjoy a less stressful working environment. But only if they manage their time really well. Without a boss or a supervisor to keep you on your toes, working from home comes with the tendency to slack off or to get distracted. To be able to enjoy all the advantages, working from home requires a lot of self-discipline, focus, and time management skills.

Balancing Work and Family

For work-at-home mothers (WAHMs) who want to continue earning money at home but who also want to spend quality time with their loved ones, here are some helpful suggestions:

1. Devote weekends to family. WAHMs sometimes have a tendency to think that every hour they do not spend working amounts to money lost. As a result, they even work on weekends. This is definitely a bad idea. You need to give yourself a break and make a decision to devote Saturdays and Sundays to resting and spending time with your family—nothing else. Work hard during weekdays and enjoy weekends with your family.

2. Stick to a fixed working schedule. While flexibility is a great advantage to working from home, be careful not to make it too flexible that you end up not accomplishing anything, as a result of jumping from one task to another. Even if you work from home, you still need to follow some sort of schedule, which you would have to “design” around your family members’ habits and respective schedules.

Some factors to consider in creating your own schedule may include your baby’s sleeping habits, what time the older kids get home from school, your spouse’s schedule, and others. Set a fixed number of working hours for yourself when you are least likely to be disturbed.

3. Don’t let distractions get to you. Once you’ve set a schedule for working and a schedule for your family, follow it strictly. Don’t let phone calls, e-mails, or other things distract you from whatever it is you are doing at the moment—whether it is family time or working time.

4. Maximize your time. Sometimes, all we need is a little resourcefulness to make the most out of our time. Search the internet for life hacks that can help you save time when doing household chores. Saving time on chores and at work can mean more quality time to spend with your kids.

As you can see, your quality time with your family need not be compromised with work concerns. Strike a healthy balance between work and home life by following the tips mentioned above.

Valentine Gift for My Husband

Ten days to Valentine's Day and I'm still stuck on what to get for my husband this year. Though I know he'll appreciate just about anything, I'm still making the effort to choose items that will make his heart smile.

Zalora Philippines saved me a great deal of time last Christmas as I saw him looking at the Mick+Marty shoes range especially at a black loafer that looked great indeed. Not sure if he wanted me to see him looking at it but I did see alright, and he was ecstatic when he saw what was inside the gift-wrapped box.

This Valentine's Day I want to give him something really functional. Something he can use every day. So I'm thinking I'd buy him a watch. He's so much into watches anyway, in fact he never goes out of the house without one. But since I don't have the luxury of time to go to the mall and get lost with a gazillion of watches, I'll be buying online instead. It's awesome that I still have Paypal funds these days. I also just won $10 Paypal cash last week from Mommy Mylene's blog Online Mommy's Corner. Thank you!

Anyways, I looked at online shopping sites and found a nice range of Timex watches at Zalora Philippines. I'm sure I can find a stylish and chic watch that's perfect for my husband.

And I hope he likes it.

How about you? Have you bought anything for your significant other lately? Let me know in the comments!
