My husband and I have been married for 6 years and sad to
say, we are still renting. We started to invest on agricultural lands
last year and will continue to do so till the next 4 years. All income from the
rice farms will go straight to our savings account and hopefully after a few
years we can start building our dream home.
And since we haven't gathered enough funds for our dream home yet, we decided to temporarily build a small house made of wood and bamboo on the lot I inherited from my grandfather and spend each weekend there. We already chose a very plain design with a bedroom, living room and a small kitchen (not the photo at the right, haha).
The only problem I foresee with bamboo and wood houses is that they are prone to be infested by insects and critters that eat wood. These days one should not only think about people’s safety, investment should be protected too! And a house can be one of the most expensive investments there is!
Good thing there are pest control services and products available these days. Who knows what kinds of pests are lurking in your home? Ants, moths, flies, wasps, woodworm and rats… and the list goes on! Always check your properties for signs of infestations.
