S3TAR Program to Empower 250 Women Entrepreneurs in Nueva Ecija

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in partnership with Coca Cola Philippines is currently offering scholarships to women in Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija under its Sari-Sari Store Training and Access to Resources (S3TAR) program. The program aims to empower women entrepreneurs in the city with knowledge, skills and proficiency in entrepreneurship.

Benefits of the S3TAR Program:
  • Access to free Basic Entrepreneur Skills and Gender Sensitivity Training conducted by Coca Cola Philippines and TESDA. A Certificate of Completion will be given at the end of the training.
  • Access to additional capital thru the S3TAR Loan, a financing scheme by Coca Cola and accredited lending and micro-finance institutions in the city.
  • Access to additional store merchandising assets like coolers, signages and other promotional items from Coca Cola.
Important Information to Note:

Qualifications: S3TAR Program is open to all women 18 years old and above, literate and currently running a sari-sari store for the past 6 months or longer.

Training Schedules: Half-day per week session for three months, to be held at the City Library, Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija.

Where to Apply: Interested parties may inquire from the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), City Hall, Science City of Munoz. Only 250 slots are available and all applications will be treated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  1. Wow! This is really nice. Tesda has never stopped helping out in terms of education and business perspective. And it is also great to know that Coca-Cola is expending their arms to help too. This will be helpful specially those in the provinces and women who were not able to finish their studies. Once they've learned and got their own business already, it will not only help their way of living and at the same time, the confidence and believe in themselves will be back.

  3. I am a TESDA product. I got certificates back in the late 80's for my baking and 1998 for dressmaking. Entrepreneur really needs help from big company like Coke and Tesda.
